Job Title: Web Intern
College Education: Majoring in
Computer Graphics Technology
Hometown: Danville, IN
Learning and curiosity have
always gotten the better of me. For as long as I can remember, I always found
entertainment in reading instruction manuals and taking apart my parents
electronics. Although this got me in trouble when I was younger, electronics
have always been an outlet for creativity. This peaked when I was able to be
constructive with these habits, and they lead me to participate in robotics at
my high school. I am huge fan of animated films and am always eager to see the
latest Disney or Pixar film. A deep appreciation for these fantasy worlds
really drove me to come to Purdue for computer graphics tech! I hit the tip of
the iceberg and made my decision to go to Purdue after seeing Big Hero 6 when
it came out, as knew my calling was creating content and telling immersive
stories.
I’m quite the techie, as I still
find myself experimenting with different kinds of electronics from VR headsets
to Arduinos and Raspberry Pis. Utilizing these technologies to help others is
something super exciting to me, and my prowess for understanding how these
things work only drives me to learn and apply more. In fact, part of the reason
I wanted to work as a web developer was to apply the conglomerate of content
creation skills I have. I appreciate all media, and love a good story. I know
that whatever I do, I want to give back to the many artists that have inspired
me, as well as the many geniuses who have worked on the tech I use day to day.
